Saving Email Attachments
- If the attachment is a word processing document in Word, WordPerfect, Notepad or other program, you can print it or save it as you normally would in that program once you have opened it.
- You can choose "File" on the top toolbar and then "Save As" and the e-mail message and its attachment will be saved to the destination you choose. When you return to the saved file it will open in your e-mail program. You can open the attachment by clicking on the icon for it. At that time, you can also print it if you wish to do so.
- You can also choose "Save Attachments" and save ONLY the attachment to the location of your choice.
- If the attachment is an e-mail message that has been forwarded to you, you can print it as you would other e-mail messages. You can save it by clicking on "File" in the top toolbar and then clicking on "Save as." You can use "Cut and Paste" to save all of the forwarded message contents or portions of it.
- If the attachment is a picture or a web page, it may be difficult to print. Instead you can save it. Click on "File" on the top toolbar and then click on "Save attachments." Pick the destination you want to save it to and ONLY the attachment will be saved, not the e-mail message it was attached to. Later you can open it by clicking on the icon from the location you saved it to and view it on your browser.
